Frequently Asked Questions (and super Quick Answers)

Below are the answers to the most frequently asked questions we get regarding Njamito. If you have an additional question that you can’t find an answer to, get in touch with us at info@njamito.com.

1. ABOUT NJAMITO

Is Njamito a smoothie?

No, no, and no. Although it looks like a smoothie and has a fresh, full taste, Njamito is much more than that. It’s a balanced plant-based meal, which means it contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals in optimal proportions. In short: a smoothie’s made to to refresh, while Njamito’s made to fill an empty stomach.

Is Njamito a vegan product?

Absolutely. It’s made from purely plant-based ingredients. This is confirmed by the internationally recognized and registered V-label certificate which guarantees the product doesn’t contain any animal-derived ingredients.

Is Njamito an organic product?

Yup. Every Njamito is made exclusively with organic ingredients, which is why it also holds an organic certificate.

Does Njamito contain gluten?

Our Njamito recipes don’t feature any ingredients containing gluten, but we use oat flakes without a gluten-free certificate, which means it may be present in small traces. Using gluten-free oats is in our medium-term plans, however. If you want to stay updated about our progress, subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn.

Is Njamito heat-treated?

Not entirely. This is true only for ingredients that require heat treatment. Everything that’s there to give Njamito a full, fresh taste is treated only with high-pressure processing (HPP). This allows us to eliminate harmful bacteria without heating and enables us to achieve natural flavor and appearance without using additives, flavor enhancers, or colorants.

What does Njamito taste like?

Delicious. But honestly: you have to try it to believe it. Order a package in our webshop or visit one of these stores. You can choose from 5 different flavors: Blueberry Strudel, Strawberry Granola, Spinat Bowl, Apple Pie, and Jaffa Cake.

Where should I store Njamito?

Somewhere between 2 to 8 °C. If you don’t plan to eat it immediately, the refrigerator would be the best choice.

How do I know if Njamito has expired?

There are two ways. You can check the date printed on the lid, or when you hold Njamito in one hand and your phone in the other, you can scan the QR code on the packaging to find out the expiration date, the ingredients, where they come from, and more.

2. ABOUT TRACEABILITY

Why does every Njamito have a QR code?

In short, because we want you to know what you’re eating. Scanning the QR code reveals information about that specific Njamito bottle you’re holding: the quantities and ratios of the ingredients, their origins, and the production process. We practically track the ingredients from seed to shelf, a fact we’re very proud of. If you’re curious about how the whole thing works, but don’t have a bottle in front of you, click here.

3. ABOUT DELIVERY

Where do you deliver?

All over Slovenia.

Can I choose the exact delivery time?

Only when opting for express delivery in the Ljubljana area where you can select one of the proposed time slots.

Can I change the delivery day?

If you choose standard (GLS) delivery within Slovenia, you’ll receive an email with delivery instructions. Within the options provided by GLS, you can change the delivery day and location. If you choose express delivery in the Ljubljana area, you cannot change the delivery time after completing the purchase.

I’m not from Ljubljana. How do I know when I’ll receive my Njamito?

Standard delivery in Slovenia is carried out from Monday to Wednesday (excluding public holidays). All orders placed after 1 PM on Wednesday or later in the week are shipped on Monday (or the first working day) of the following week. This means an order placed on Monday will reach you by Wednesday of the same week. If you order on Thursday, you’ll have to wait for your package until Wednesday of the following week.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. For standard (GLS) delivery in Slovenia, you’ll receive a tracking code via email. For express delivery in Ljubljana, you can track the shipment in the Wolt app.

How much does delivery cost?

The cost varies depending on whether you choose express delivery (only in the Ljubljana area) or standard delivery (throughout Slovenia). The exact amount is displayed during checkout before you complete the purchase.

What if I’m not home at the time of delivery?

We do our best to keep you updated about the delivery time via email and phone since your Njamito pack needs to be kept cool immediately after receiving the package. If you’re not at the specified address during delivery, the courier will leave the product at your door or in a parcel locker (in the case of standard delivery). In this case, it’s considered that the package was properly delivered and received.

Can I pick up Njamito in person?
